Systems Administrator Senior

Responsible for the administration, maintenance and support of the organization’s IT systems and infrastructure including managing servers, ensuring system availability and implementing solutions to improve system performance and security.
Oversee the installation, configuration and maintenance of servers including physical and virtual environments.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
Manage the Active Directory, and other core IT services.
Monitor systems performance and troubleshoots moderate to complex issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
Perform maintenance such as patch management, updates and backups.
Plan and execute systems upgrades and hardware/software installations.
Ensure systems are updated with latest security patches and software updates.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with organization policies and regulatory requirements.
Manage and test backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical systems and services.
Participate in disaster recovery drills and business continuity planning.
Provide support to end users and other IT staff by resolving complex hardware, software and system related issues.
Maintains detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures and changes.
Create reports on system performance, security incidents and other key metrics.
Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure coordinated delivery of IT services.
Provide recommendations for system improvements based on analysis and industry best practices.
May assist in the development of IT policies and procedures.
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: CompTIA and Microsoft Certifications, 3+ years of experience

● Security Clearance Level: SECRET - TS/SCI eligible
● Location: Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, Cuba
