A week in the life of an IT Systems Administrator: + Work with a small team to maintain the health and compliance of several systems including Windows and LInuX supporting web applications serving the military childcare community. + Work with an integrated project team to handle releases, configurations, trouble shooting, patches, access and maintenance. + Coordinate task lists and schedules across teams to ensure we provide service required on time + Support configurations, deployments, security scans and assessments in Microsoft .Net, Java, Drupal, and Adobe ColdFusion technologies + Apply security, operating system, software patches (including STIGs and IAVA/IAVB) in the DISA environment + Assist in all information assurance and RMF Certification & Accreditation processes + Perform systems monitoring, including performance and security monitoring, on all systems + Identify areas of innovation, improvements, efficiencies and performance scale improvements Job Requirements + Experience with Linux and Microsoft Windows based environments and will be able to support integrated environments with a mix of all of these technologies in place. + ​TS/SSBI Clearance Required! + Security+ certificate or equivalent At least 10+ years of experience in: + Windows server administration including IIS and web applications using MSSQL Server + Linux systems, including Ubuntu and Red Hat Web and application servers and services, including Apache Tomcat + Database Server systems administration MS SQL Server and MySQL (this is not database development, but maintenance of the database system environment) + Amazon Web Services VMWare Network and systems design and configuration + Documentation of network and systems designs Windows Servers + ColdFusion administration knowledge or experience is a plus + Experience with hosting in a secure DISA environment a plus + Experience with AWS GovCloud a plus Founded in 1975, AMERICAN SYSTEMS is one of the largest employee-owned companies in the United States.
