What do you contribute?

As a Senior System Manager, you will assume technical responsibility for ETCS onboard customer projects globally, ensuring the safety of long-distance rail traffic through the implementation of groundbreaking signaling technology. #OneOBU

You will independently analyze and define the overall system, capturing and clarifying all technical and operational requirements. You will be accountable for defining the system architecture, updating it throughout the project, and coordinating interfaces. Monitoring the overall system integration and technical project outcomes, you will actively steer them throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will prepare decisions for further development by analyzing the implemented system and providing independently consultation for subsequent projects. Using your expertise, you will support other System Managers in bids and customer projects, addressing sophisticated or specific inquiries, and facilitating active knowledge transfer during customer and supplier meetings. As a senior team member, you will also support strategic initiatives and projects.  

What do you bring along?

Successful completion of a university degree in a technical field is required. Extensive professional experience as a System Manager in the safety-critical railway technology sector or in the development, engineering, or tendering of ETCS Onboard projects. Strong understanding of complete railway technology systems and solid requirements management and configuration control knowledge. Ideally, you have experience in integrating national train control systems. Familiarity with relevant standards, rules, and regulations (TSI, CENELEC, etc.) is essential. Comfortable working in international environments and teams. Given our global project assignments, you should have at least basic German skills, excellent English proficiency (additional language skills would be advantageous), and a willingness to travel (approximately 20%).
