Troon Headquarters in Scottsdale is seeking a Senior System Technician to join our team. The Senior System Technician is a highly technical position requiring intimate knowledge of Microsoft Windows technology and architecture. The ideal candidate will have an active working knowledge of Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, and PowerShell.
The ability to support and provide guidance for both technical and vendor-related issues and the ability to communicate clearly in critical situations as needed is a must. The candidate must be a team player and be able to effectively collaborate with other technical and business personnel within the company. The candidate must be an agent of change and be able to adjust rapidly to changes in the business climate. The candidate will be expected to address service and incident requests submitted via the internal ticketing system or phone. The position will require travel in support of strategic initiatives.
Essential Duties:
Provide technical support through phone assistance, accurately documenting each case in the designated ticketing system Ensure effective handling of operational tasks and swift resolution of incidents and utilizing an analytical approach to resolve complex challenges effectively. Serve as the immediate escalation channel for all technical issues. Diagnose and resolve issues across networks, systems, and applications to maintain operational excellence. Design and evaluate networking devices, emphasizing proficiency with particular networking hardware like Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti to enhance value. Design and evaluate software configuration to fulfill operational needs. Set up, configure, and oversee the maintenance of the organization's Local Area Networks (LANs), including VLAN management. Leverage PowerShell for scripting to enhance and automate administrative tasks. Operate and manage Microsoft Active Directory for the administration of network resources, user privileges, and security measures. Display strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Communicate technical concepts in an understandable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrate initiative and the ability to manage and prioritize workload independently in a dynamic setting. Collaborate effectively, enhancing the team's collective performance and workplace culture. Update and secure Windows Server environments and Windows operating systems to maintain system integrity. Oversee system performance and initiate changes in system processes to proactively address potential issues. Lead or support the installation and upgrade of Point of sale software Oversee system and network security, including access controls, backups, and emergency recovery strategies. Vendor management of ISP/Security systems/HVAC/Audio Visual Visit remote sites to deploy new IT equipment, including computing and network devices. Potentially involving up to 50% travel time. Offer emergency support on weekends and holidays according to a predefined schedule.Education/Experience:
