SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Senior Systems Administrator is the senior technical resource in the Information Technology department. This individual coordinates the technical aspects of application infrastructure and acts as a mentor to other IT Operations department staff. The role requires working with vendors and reviewing specifications to ensure a high performing and high availability environment. Coordinates all backup and recovery solutions and ensures the reliability and survivability of all data. Responsible for primary and backup Data Center environments and administration. Evaluates new and upgraded technologies and recommends accordingly. Administers corporate Active Directory and e-mail environment. Exhibits superior human relations skills. Continuously improves proficiency and knowledge. Documents systems and educates staff on new features and functions. Responsible for system monitoring and alerting. QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational With Bachelor's degree: 5-7 year's experience in a system administration or senior level desktop support, including data center management. Wth Associates degree: 8 years' experience in a system administration or senior level desktop support, including data center management. With High school diploma: 10+ years' experience in a system administration or senior level desktop support, including data center management. 3-5 years experience in the healthcare field. 3-5 years' experience with storage technologies (EMC, Tintri, and/or Pure). 5+ years' experience with Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP. 5+ years experience with Microsoft Exchange. Strong project management, communication and training. Superior decision-making and troubleshooting skills. 5+ years' experience administering a VMware environment, incliuding vCenter, SRM, Distributed Networks, Host Profiles, DRS, and HA.
