The Intelligence Programs Group (IPG), part of Systems Planning and Analysis Inc.’s Space and Intelligence Division, is a specialized provider of systems engineering and trusted advisory services to the Space and National Intelligence community.  We utilize mission-proven, data-driven advisory tools and capabilities.  We provide highly technical support to ensure the government acquires cutting edge technology necessary for our National Defense.  Our portfolio includes the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).  Come where you will be part of our high-caliber team!

 

SPA has an immediate or near term need for a Senior Systems Administrator. 

Responsibilities Continuous Monitoring and Security: Execute and manage continuous monitoring tasks within authorization boundaries, applying the ICD 503 Security RMF Framework to maintain and improve security posture.System Administration Support: Provide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support for system issues, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems in diverse system environments.Customer Support and Service Management: Handle service requests efficiently through phone and Jira ticketing system, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution for end-users.Cloud and Device Management: Manage the configuration, operation, and maintenance of cloud-based devices to optimize performance and security.Maintenance and System Diagnostics: Conduct preventive maintenance, manage user accounts, and perform system diagnostics to ensure operational hardware and software reliability.Security Enforcement and Updates: Enforce security policies rigorously, carry out vulnerability assessments, and implement system hardening and patching to safeguard against potential threats.Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports on system performance, security metrics, and incident resolutions to provide actionable insights and maintain operational transparency.Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in meetings with stakeholders to understand requirements, provide system updates, and support alignment of system operations with organizational objectives. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Active TS/SCIAbility to sit for, and pass, a CI PolygraphBachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field4+ years of relevant experience (equivalent professional experience may substitute for the degree requirement)Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)Proven expertise in systems administration practices, including server and workstation upgrades and maintenance planning
