BAE Systems, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator to join our team supporting the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Sensors Directorate located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. This individual will serve as an IT Systems Administrator responsible for all aspects of IT infrastructure as well as desktop and standalone systems for one or more Isolated Lab environments. This position shall oversee day-to-day system operations, resolve complex problems, and develop innovative solutions to meet changing security requirements. This individual will be able to work independently as well as collaborate with internal and external customers to create a positive, productive work environment. The ideal candidate will be adaptable to diverse technology, procedures, and demands beyond a standard desktop computer environment.
The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high impact discriminating technologies for our customers missions. **What You ll Do:**
+ Install, manage, and maintain Active Directory networks, Windows and various Linux based operating systems, such as Ubuntu, Rocky Linux and Red Hat (RHEL) hosted on secure stand-alone as well as domain environments in support of program initiatives.
+ Update and maintain Linux and GitLab repositories.
+ Install, configure, and troubleshoot core infrastructure services such as AD, DHCP, DNS, File Services, and SQL.
+ Provide support to engineering/development applications and environments.
+ Install and configure managed network routers and switches including Cisco Nexus and Dell EMC PowerSwitch S5200F-ON Series.
+ Support Dell PowerEdge Servers and NVMe/RoCE
+ Ensure Veeam backups are completed on schedule as defined by Recovery Objectives.
+ Complete OS patching, virus definition updates, security scanning and remediation within established timeframes.
+ Manage Pure Storage and TrueNAS SAN (Storage Area Network)/NAS (Network Attached Storage).
+ Conduct security reviews and tests of systems to verify security features and controls are functional and effective.
+ Install and manage VMware virtual infrastructure, including Virtual Machines (VM), virtual switches, and datastores.
+ Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with established policies and procedures.
+ Create basic Linux, Ansible, and/or PowerShell scripts to automate tasks.
+ Support security authorization activities in compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology Risk Management Framework (NIST RMF).
+ Design hardware and software infrastructure to meet architecture, project development and QOS requirements.
+ Make and run network cabling as needed for location/connectivity requirements.
+ Install and remove server, network, and storage hardware in racks.
+ Configure desktops, install software, and troubleshoot end user ticket requests.
+ Implement process for the management, review, and retention of security audit data.
+ Establish system specific recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly protected and restored.
+ Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
+ Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
+ Perform other duties as necessary.
**On-Site Work Environment:** This position requires regular in-person engagement by working **on-site five days** each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
**Working Conditions:**
+ Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Related Bachelor s and 4 or more years of related experience; or HS Diploma and 9 or more years of related experience.
+ Each higher-level degree, i.e., Associate s, Bachelor s Degree, Master s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for additional years of experience.
+ Related certifications may count towards years of related experience.
+ Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
+ A current, active Secret security clearance is required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with SCI.
+ Possess current DoD 8570.01 compliant certification for IAM Level I, e.g. Security CE.
+ Be highly skilled in executing DISA STIGs via Windows Active Directory Group policy and Local Group Policy Objects.
+ Extensive experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
+ Experience with updating both Linux and Windows in an air gapped environment.
+ Excellent customer service, and interpersonal communications skills supported by excellent documentation and organizational ability.
+ Ability to work independently with little to no guidance, prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple tasks.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Ability to configure and manage advanced network switches and routers.
+ Experience conducting security audits of information systems.
+ Vulnerability assessment and analysis experience utilizing SCAP, ACAS/NESSUS and DISA STIGs.
+ Experience Configuring Offline Microsoft WSUS.
+ Experience with DoD implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and governing directives (NIST, CNSS, DSS, etc.).
+ Experience with scripting codes to include Python and Java.
+ Oracle or SQL database backup knowledge.
+ SCCM imaging via PXE or other enterprise imaging software.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $83900.000 - $142600.000
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
