Job Overview:
The Senior Systems Analyst, Finance is responsible for the maintenance of our core financial systems (including Workday Adaptive, JDA, Alteryx and future tools such as D365). This position will also work on strategic finance initiatives which enable the business to operate more efficiently. This high-visibility role works closely with various departments on process improvements, system and reporting enhancements, providing critical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving support to the organization. The position reports to the Manager, Finance Systems & Transformation.
Responsibilities:
Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs, documenting requirements, and using our tools to increase efficiency and internal controls. Using statistical methods and tools to analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights that support decision-making and problem-solving. Evaluating current business processes, identifying inefficiencies or areas for improvement, and proposing solutions to streamline operations and increase productivity. Creating detailed documentation such as business process diagrams, workflow charts, and system specifications to guide development and implementation efforts. Assist with driving change management by embracing change and championing new tools and processes across the organization. Assist to ensure consistent execution of master data management, data loads, user provisioning and testing/implementation of financial system enhancements and changes. Analyze enhancement request requirements and system capabilities to provide feedback and gap analysis. Work directly with key stakeholders and Manager of Finance System to map key systems and processes and identify root causes of key issues. Participate in various finance technology projects to provide technical system support. Collaborate across teams to understand business requirements, challenges, and opportunities, and develop innovative solutions that align with the organization's strategic goals. Assist in projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting, compliance, and data management. Maintain security access in our financial systems to ensure data security and compliance. Monitor case support queue and assist the business as needed with financial system related questions and issues.Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3+ years of experience in a finance system support management role (JDA, Workday Adaptive a plus) Bachelor’s degree in related field. Project management experience implementing finance systems and tools preferred. Growth mindset, ability to absorb new technologies and features quickly. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders and document requirements. Ability to approach problems from different angles and think critically about the best solutions.
