Senior Systems Analyst
Job Description:

The Role

The Fidelity Institutional Technology group is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Systems Analyst to be part of its diverse, globally distributed team of IT professionals responsible for the development and maintenance of Fidelity’s Institutional Client Platforms and Products.

A successful candidate will be a key member of an agile delivery squad partnering with the Product Owner and Developers to:

Help drive current and future state application analysis

Help design functional solutions to business needs

Identify system requirements and associated epics

Write user stories that include concise and clear system requirements that will be handed off to developers

Produce use case documents and system diagrams

Develop subject matter expertise

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in technology-related discipline

6+ years systems analysis experience working with customer facing web applications

Experience driving systems analysis and story refinement in an Agile/Scrum environment

Strong understanding of various web application components and how they interact with each other (e.g. web pages, API’s, backend systems)

JIRA expert

Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

Deep experience using a wide range of analysis techniques and technologies to deliver high quality technical analysis

Experience providing deep technical analysis of customer facing internet applications developed using modern technologies such as Angular, Java/JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Spring/Spring Boot, REST, and SOAP

Demonstrated experience executing data sourcing and mapping analysis for REST and SOAP services

Ability to analyze backend data sources by writing SQL queries

Ability to analyze application logs using Datadog, Splunk or similar for both testing and production support

Demonstrated expertise identifying, defining and documenting clear and concise systems requirements, translating business needs into technical design solutions, identifying systems, interdependencies, and creating detailed design documents

Ability to document end-to-end systems integrations via Process Flow diagrams and to communicate complex technical concepts and designs related to cloud (AWS) and on-premise web products

Ability to translate analysis into JIRA/Agile stories that meet all acceptance criteria and can be handed off to developers for immediate execution

Able to work on own initiative, highly proactive, self-motivated, resourceful
