Senior Systems Analyst - File Transfer Management

One of our insurance clients has an immediate need for a Senior Systems Analyst to support their application support team and sit on site in either Zionsville, IN or Waltham, MA. This role is part of the Enterprise Technology Services team and will report to the AVP of IT. This position will utilize various technologies, programming tools and techniques. This person will solve operational problems, streamline business processes and help boost productivity. They will be an integral part of a very collaborative team supporting current applications, as well as future cloud platforms that touch every part of our business. Applicants must be proficient with basic to mid-tiered IT fundamentals.
Main Responsibilities
* Consults with other internal and external technical experts to identify root causes of problems and/or system defects and determine practical solutions to correct technical problems.
* Maintains complete documentation of project status including work in progress, work completed, and outstanding tasks.
* Manage file transfer services software (MoveIT) and ensuring files are flowing as expected (inbound and outbound).
* Integrating the enterprise managed file transfer system with other software platforms throughout the organization.
* Collaborating with project managers, other engineers, administrators, and customers to deliver projects on time and on budget.
* Developing documentation for requirements, architectural designs, engineering drawings and diagrams, as well as creating operational policies and procedures.
* Documenting best practices for system installation, deployment, and operation.
* Onboarding new vendors and setting up the accounts and credentials.
* Submitting firewall requests.
* Managing access control lists and conducting periodic entitlement reviews.
* Stays abreast of changing technology and how technological advancements can be applied to business needs and applications.
* Performing basic Windows Server administration, including checking server status, verifying services are running and maintaining IIS web server.
* Uncovers and recommends best practices for use by the department.
* Researching and identifying products and toolsets to enhance productivity, stability, and security.
* Working closely with managed service providers to ensure connectivity and effective operation of all services among third parties and internal business units.
* Participating in disaster recovery planning and testing.
* Actively participates in the improvement of department policies and procedures.
Compensation:
$130,000k to $150,000k annually
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
