Cole Engineering Services, a By Light company, is seeking detail-oriented professionals to establish and support configuration management process for a high-priority Department of Defense simulation and training capability. The candidate will plan, coordinate and orchestrate scrum and/or kanban based agile development process which incorporates geographically and corporately disparate development teams and technologies. The candidate will facilitate the integration of discrete software applications and systems into a comprehensive, integrated system of systems. The candidate will utilize the Atlassian toolset to track progress, plan future work and to track and report metrics across the entire collection of teams and systems. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of sprint planning, daily standup and other recurring meetings. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the product backlog, coordinate with teams to develop the future roadmap and will sustain an in depth understanding of the overarching product capabilities. The candidate will provide capabilities exceeding customer specifications with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities Interprets requirements and complex specifications to identify potential technical solutions. Interfaces directly with customers and development teams to execute a fully coordinated system of systems agile development process. Ensures adherence and conformance to schedule/cost requirements and to specifications through supervision of the development, verification, validation and testing of solutions. Coordinates with customer representatives to develop technical requirements from customer input, and then coordinates with other stakeholders to direct system and subsystem design and development to meet technical requirements. This spans development, implementation, testing, documentation, and installation of hardware and software systems and equipment. The candidate may also develop and maintain critical engineering program documents, such as the Software Development Plan (SDP), the System Engineering Master Plan (SEMP), Systems Software Specification (SSS), and System/Subsystem Design Description (SSDD). Required Experience/Qualifications Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or universityEight (8) years experience solving complex Department of Defense engineering and technical problems in a senior level role.Requires competence with software design and development of large-scale systems, agile software development methodologies, the application of software standards, industry quality assurance, quality control, independent verification and validation techniques, testing standards, DevOps tools and cybersecurity. Must have demonstrable ability to work with distributed teams and to exercise independent judgment in task execution. Preferred Experience/Qualifications Advanced and/or Professional Certified Scrum Master Certification. Experience with existing cyber security training products and cyber range operations. Special Requirements/Security Clearance Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance, with an ability to obtain a TOP SECRET security clearance. Physical Demands Must be able to lift, stack, carry, install objects up to 45lbs. Must implement appropriate team lift procedures for objects over 45lbs.
