Job Description:
Summary:
A Senior Systems Engineer will provide planning, implementation, and management of virtualization server technologies in Epiq’s global datacentres. This position will be heavily involved in virtualization platform migration and requires advanced knowledge of platforms such as Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere.
Key Responsibilities
Deployment, management, upgrades, and support of virtualization technologiesVirtual machine migration planning and execution with minimal downtimeComplex troubleshooting of virtualization related issuesUtilize PowerShell for scripting/automation of tasksCapacity planning to ensure clusters remain in healthy state of oversubscriptionCreate up-to-date documentation for all virtualization systemsProvide training and support for Level 2 server engineersEducation, Experience and/or Skills Required:
Minimum of 4 years Microsoft Hyper-V enterprise level experienceExpert technical knowledge of VMware technologiesExpert technical knowledge of Windows Server 2016 and newerSome familiarity or experience with Azure Hybrid environmentsExperience working in a lights-out enterprise class datacenterGood communication skills, both verbal and writtenWorking knowledge of ITIL and ITSM methodsAbility to mentor and teach team membersOptional: familiarity with Azure Stack HCIOptional: AZ-800 certificationOptional: expert technical knowledge in Linux operating systemsIf you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
