Senior Systems Engineer

KBR’s Defense Systems Engineering Division is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Top Secret Clearance) with 12 years of experience in communications/datalink systems engineering to join our Lexington Park, MD, team supporting PMA-231 Advanced Programs.  PMA-231 provides the E-2C Hawkeye, E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, Hawkeye 2000, and the C-2A Greyhound fleet with acquisition strategy, logistics, and sustainment solutions supporting the warfighter’s mission. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required. 

Responsibilities:

Provides support for research, development, integration and testing of advanced communications/datalinks systems.  Provides system development support will include acquisition documentation development, development of specifications, conduct independent technical analyses, evaluate system documentation, and test analysis. Handles task-specific questions and engage in advanced problem solving.  Generate plans, technical reports, and briefings to keep the customer informed. Work closely with the customer and primary contract vendors to implement requirements correctly. Interface daily with government and other contractor personnel in a team environment.

Basic Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related engineering field from an accredited college or university is required.  Master’s degree preferred.

Clearance & Citizenship: Must be a US citizen with an active DoD Top Secret clearance, including an SSBI or Federal Investigative Standard Tier 5 (T5) or Tier 5 Reinvestigation (T5R) within the last 5 years.   

Experience: At least twelve (12) years of experience with communications/datalink systems engineering (i.e., Tactical Data Links, Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), and Link-16)

Travel: Must be able to travel as required for the role. Travel (20-25%) is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Interoperability integration and testing, E-2D Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) and Link-16.Must be able to work in a dynamic, complex security environment. Excellent written and verbal communications. Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, including Project.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week

Compensation: $160,000-$240,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. #LI-ML2
