Kforce has a client in Fulton, MD that is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer responsible for the stability and efficient operation of a company's computer systems. Duties include: * Designing and implementing: Creating network architecture and system infrastructure, and designing, implementing, and maintaining software and operating systems * Monitoring and troubleshooting: Overseeing systems to ensure they're working properly, and troubleshooting errors and inefficiencies * Managing projects: Managing budgets, supervising staff, and training new systems engineers * Providing technical leadership: Mentoring junior staff, providing technical guidance, and escalating complex problems to management * Defining requirements: Working with stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals * Ensuring compliance: Ensuring that systems are compliant with information systems goals and procedures May also be responsible for: * Developing schedules for equipment to maximize utilization * Establishing and implementing IT policies and procedures * Managing assets, backup/restore operations, and preventive maintenance * Providing technical leadership for the use of internal data processing and automated office systems
