PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Senior Systems Engineer will lead and manage the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise systems with a focus on Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Intune.
This role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in endpoint management, software deployment, patch management, and overall systems administration.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the health, security, and performance of the organization's IT infrastructure while contributing to strategic initiatives and mentoring junior administrators.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
SCCM Administration:
Manage and maintain SCCM infrastructure, ensuring availability, scalability, and reliability.
Perform software distribution, application packaging, and deployment across endpoints.
Oversee patch management and compliance reporting to maintain system security.
Conduct SCCM health checks, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations.
Intune Administration:
Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM).
Develop and enforce compliance policies, conditional access rules, and security baselines.
Oversee Windows Autopilot deployments for device provisioning and lifecycle management.
Integrate Intune with other tools and platforms to streamline operations.
Systems Administration:
Perform advanced troubleshooting for Windows Server and client operating systems.
Administer Active Directory, including Group Policy creation and management.
Manage virtualization platforms such as Azure Virtual Desktop or Hyper-V.
Maintain IT infrastructure documentation, including diagrams and operational procedures.
Automation and Optimization:
Leverage PowerShell scripting to automate recurring tasks and streamline processes.
Identify opportunities to improve system performance, security, and reliability.
Collaboration and Leadership:
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for SCCM and Intune.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications.
Mentor and guide junior team members in endpoint management best practices.
Assist in planning and implementing strategic IT initiatives.
Compliance and Security:
Ensure systems and processes comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST 800-171).
Monitor and respond to security incidents affecting managed systems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., Azure Virtual Desktop, Hyper-V) and cloud infrastructure services (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-171, ISO 27001, or CMMC.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Expert knowledge of Microsoft SCCM, Intune, and Windows Autopilot.
Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and task automation.
Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server environments.
Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., AVD, Hyper-V) and cloud technologies (e.g., Azure).
Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO, or CMMC is a plus.
