KBR is seeking a Senior level Systems Engineer in El Segundo, CA to support end-to-end kill chain analysis for Space Control programs in El Segundo, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining requirements, interfaces, test and verification plans and system integration plans based upon space defense kill chains to enable capability gap analysis and evaluation of future system performance. This work will be conducted at the SCI and SAP levels.

The Senior Systems Engineer will support the Special Programs Directorate for the Space Systems Center (SSC) in El Segundo, CA. This position requires a current TS/SCI eligibility. The successful candidate must also be clearable to SAP.

Key Responsibilities:

Interface with the customer and provide end-to-end mission architecture system capability/requirements to achieve a desired mission effect, physics-based System of Systems performance assessment,  digital engineering and modeling support that includes technical and programmatic analysis/assessment related to requirements for current and future Space Control programs.

Conduct and develop products in IPTs and Working Groups that address the design/development, production, and integration of Space Control systemsBuild an understand of the adversarial threats-based kill chains facing US space assetsFacilitate/develop/present resolution of issues related to system-of-systems integrationDevelop and maintain mission architecture interface requirements for Space Control programsDevelop system-of-systems verification plans and trace verification plans to test eventsDevelop system integration plans for end-to-end system capabilityCollect, analyze, and report on data collected during system-of-systems integration events

Required Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI is required to be considered for this positionBS in engineering or computer science or equivalent experienceMission Engineering experience is a plus10+ years of relevant technical experience in aerospace5+ years in space system requirements verification, test and evaluationIndependent problem solving with a variety of mission architecture systems engineering abilities, including knowledge and experience in requirements development, analysis, verification, and test.Ability to work effectively with customers and program stakeholders and have robust written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate must have excellent oral/written communication skills and customer relationship skillsCandidate must be an independent problem solver, comfortable in a fast paced environment and be able to quickly adapt to emerging requirements and changing prioritiesMaster’s degree in engineeringExperience with classified programsMission Engineering experience is a plusSpace system design, development, production, integration & test, and/or certification experience

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Basic Compensation: $150,000  to $175,000

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
