Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer
Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer with a background in systems development, particularly in reconnaissance and surveillance sensor systems on airborne, ground, and mobile platforms for United States government and international customers. The qualified candidate must be capable of performing system definition, decomposition, design, integration, verification, and validation of complete systems. The candidate must also be capable of methodically troubleshooting complex sensor and related systems, such as networked computer subsystems, airborne data links, imagery sensors (electro-optical and infrared), ground moving target and synthetic aperture radars, radio signal collection systems, and other special sensor technologies. A well-rounded understanding of software, hardware, and mechanical engineering is essential.

ResponsibilitiesDevelopment of system requirements from customer SOW and contract CDRLsSystem design and integration onto airborne, ground, and mobile platformsOversight and management of system integration and test activitiesDevelopment of test plans, specifications, and other related system engineering documentsInterfacing with program management, customers, and customer representativesDeveloping and presenting requirements, designs, plans, and results to customers and end-usersSupporting troubleshooting and maintenance planning for fielded systemsEssential SkillsSystems designRequirements management and definitionExperience in at least one engineering discipline (electrical, mechanical, software, etc.)Well-rounded understanding of other disciplinesSystem or component development for systems integration onto collection platformsDeveloping requirements or designing to requirementsSystem design and interface controlCompliance standards including military and avionicsTest plan and test procedure development and executionIntegration, troubleshooting, and system testingVerification and validation of systems to internal and customer requirementsExperience with Radar, Cameras, Weapon systems, RF, radio communicationProficiency in design tools such as Visio, AutoCAD, or equivalent10+ years of direct experience in system engineering and developmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsBS/MS in electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering; mathematics, or physics, or equivalent work experienceUnited States of America citizenshipCurrent secret clearance or higher, or ability to acquire a U.S. Department of Defense security clearanceProficiency in MATLAB and/or SysML is preferredAbility to work independently and within an engineering team of varying disciplinesINCOSE certification is a plusWork Environment

The company specializes in systems engineering, electronic product development, and contract management services to the Federal Government and its prime contractors. They are a premier developer of integrated surveillance and reconnaissance systems on manned and unmanned airborne, ground, surface, and man-packable platforms. The work environment includes collaboration with various engineering teams and the use of advanced design tools and technologies. The company is currently working on a new program that involves designing their own radio and building it into a core competency.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $85.00
