Senior Systems Engineer
Job Title: Sr Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. Level Systems Engineer to support an FAA customer on a core navigation program. The individual will report to the direct task lead and serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for FAA NAS Enterprise Architecture.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and update Resource Planning Documents, budget formulation, and budget execution.Assist with monitoring the solution implementation schedule of the program.Develop key Joint Resource Council (JRC) documentation per AMS requirements.Review NAS Enterprise Architecture updates.Provide monthly Risk Issue and Opportunity updates.Apply software, hardware, and standards knowledge in the analysis, specification, development, integration, and acquisition of systems for navigation services, ensuring compliance with FAA standards.Engage in configuration management, cyber security, safety, reliability, maintainability, integrity, and other system engineering disciplines to improve navigation services.Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of system engineering in the Navigation Services Directorate.Evaluate technical and operational requirements for systems and services in the NAS.Essential SkillsMinimum of 10 years of experience as a systems engineer in the FAA or aerospace industry.5 years specializing in Navigation: Ground Base Navigation Aids, Approach Lighting, and Global Navigation Satellite systems.Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Physics, or a related field.Strong history supporting FAA NAS Enterprise Architecture (SME).Proficiency in systems engineering principles and processes (Fully V System lifecycle).Additional Skills & QualificationsPMP certification.Knowledge of FAA Acquisition Management Systems and Procurement Process.Work Environment

This is a hybrid role, typically requiring 2-3 days onsite. However, this may change with new administration policies requiring all federal employees back in the office. Our policies will align with those of the FAA and our customer.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72.16 - $88.94/hr.
