Senior Systems Engineer

Our clients include DHS, DHA, DoS, USMC, US Army, HHS/Indian Health Service, Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Indian Education, among many more. **Primary Focus** The Senior Systems Engineer will provide comprehensive IT support services to the Air National Guard Readiness Center (ANGRC), ensuring the stability, security, and performance of all network infrastructure, servers, databases, and end-user services. This includes adhering to strict security protocols, maintaining detailed documentation, and proactively managing all aspects of the ANGRC IT environment. All duties and responsibilities performed in accordance with the Core Values of Cayuse. **Responsibilities** + Manage, maintain, and administer all physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and hypervisors. + Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for server and network administration. + Add and configure new servers and storage equipment. + Manage LAN and WAN administrative accounts. + Install system-wide software updates during approved maintenance windows. + Manage system files, including scripts, backups, and server images. + Allocate and manage storage space. + Perform regular backups and backups before maintenance events. + Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and assist with capacity planning. + Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on servers and network devices. + Support end-user change requests, including server changes, routing updates, and access control modifications. + Manage user access to shared storage media. + Create, modify, maintain, backup, and recover SQL databases. + Upgrade server programs, applications, and operating systems. + Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software support. + Assist with the deployment of new IT infrastructure. + Utilize automated tools for software deployment. + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** Minimum Qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree or IAT level 3 certs + At least 7 years of experience + COMPTIA Security+ Top Secret Clearance Required + Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment. Minimum Skills: + Extensive experience with VM environments + Extensive experience with VDI solutions + Familiar with Microsoft Visual Standard or Pro 2019 + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint. + Self-starter with the ability to learn new tasks and skills. + Strong organization and communications skills + Ability to multitask and have practical time management skills. + Team Player **Reports to** **: Program Manager** **Working Conditions** + Professional office environment + Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods of time.
