Then we have a great opportunity for you to support the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (R&E)’s Developmental Test, Evaluation, and Assessments (DTE&A) office.

As a Senior DTE&A Engineer/Analyst (Missile Systems) you will:

Conduct analysis of emerging DoD and MDA missile system programs using modern digital engineering tools and reviewing historical performance of related programs, technologies, and activities.       Evaluate the acquisition and technology risks of missile-systems programs and supporting development; secure cutting-edge technology and engineering capabilities to facilitate modernization efforts across DoD.   Analyze and evaluate acquisitions programs to support timely delivery of key warfighting capabilities. Work with a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals; work closely with senior government decision makers and managers and stay in sync with DoD priorities.  Manage your efforts within a mixed virtual-, in-person work center. Leverage your recent program and technical experience to provide developmental test and systems engineering analytical support to the government in conducting analyses of missile system acquisition programs including Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) programs.  

A week in the life of a Sr. DTE&A Engineer/Analyst:

Conduct analysis of emerging DoD and MDA missile system programs using modern digital engineering tools and reviewing historical performance of related programs, technologies, and activities.       Evaluate the acquisition and technology risks of missile-systems programs and supporting development; secure cutting-edge technology and engineering capabilities to facilitate modernization efforts across DoD.    Analyze and evaluate acquisitions programs to support timely delivery of key warfighting capabilities to DoD.  Integrate analysis of digital engineering artifacts into the assessments. Provide Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) and Systems Engineering support to the government on advanced missile systems and related technology.  Extreme focus on hypervelocity capability. Provide assessments and risk evaluations to OUSD(R&E), Milestone Decision Authorities, Services, Agencies, and PEOs. Review and assess Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), developmental test plans, System Engineering Plans (SEPs), Lifecycle Sustainment Plan (LCSPs), Acquisition Decision Memoranda (ADMs), Acquisition Baselines and Strategies, and other milestone decision documents. Evaluate test results, schedules, resources, and technological risks for program reviews. Provide working-level integrated product teams (WIPTs) Test and Evaluation and systems engineering support. Support Independent Technical Risk Assessments (ITRA).  Travel as required to collaborate with stakeholders and programs. Develop papers, reports, and briefings targeted to senior OSD decision makers. Assess and provide recommendations on DT&E policy.
