What you will do

As the Systems Verification Engineer, you provide professional expertise in vehicle and system verification. You will ensure and coordinate the verification activities at different test objects of new electrical and electronics systems into the vehicle architecture.

 

You will be responsible for:

Leading the verification activities on various tests objects Developing and implementation of the System test plan Partnering with local and global colleagues to coordinate test activities  Creating software packages and software breakdowns for test objects and the maintenance of these test objects in the appropriate systems. Documenting problem issues and working with software development teams to secure completeness and quality of features and functionalities in each baseline delivery. Interacting with multiple engineers and teams by providing testing status. Participating in design implementation by supporting with training and knowledge transfer activities Mentoring and coaching team members 

 

Your future team

Our team, Systems Test Engineering, is part of the Electrical Engineering and Vehicle Connectivity (EEVC) function in Volvo Group Trucks North America. EEVC delivers all electrical features on Volvo and Mack trucks to the North American market.  We develop solutions for various segments of the commercial vehicle market such as internal combustion, electric vehicles, automation, telematics and connectivity.

Systems Test Engineering is responsible for Electrical function testing on system level with multiple variants and software baselines configurations and to secure the quality of our development meets our design standards and delivers to the high expectations of our customers.

Requirements:

Bachelors or master’s in electrical engineering 5-8+ years of related engineering experience Genuine knowledge of the purpose of verification / validation and common verification / validation processes Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis  Knowledge of automotive protocols and technologies Experience in using test and verification measuring and monitoring equipment for both physical and data bus signals Knowledge and experience with automotive electrical and electronics development and diagnostics tools Knowledge of international Environmental / Mechanical / Electrical Requirements according to ISO and JAE standards Knowledge of the physical, electrical and EMC environment of the commercial vehicles Software Validation or related experience Commercial driver’s license is a plus What’s in it for you?
