Senior Talent Acquisition Recruiter

**Overview:**
Manage candidate development for mid to senior level exclusive searches. Develop relationships with key industry players to generate qualified candidates for multiple search assignments. Manage the candidate life cycle including identifying, qualifying, interviewing and managing targeted candidates to rapidly produce a best-in-class slate of talent to meet / exceed M&T’s internal client expectations.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Serve as a subject matter expert in the area of talent attraction
+ Actively work with line managers to develop the strategy to build talent pipelines, interview, and recommend top candidates to the business line
+ Mentor others within the department on unconventional search techniques and other recruitment activities
+ Proactively attract a quality work force and maintain applicant flow in filling current and future staffing needs
+ Counsel line managers on recommended compensation packages
+ Negotiate, extend offers and effectively close the candidate
+ Adhere to government regulations, organizational policies, and system/data integrity
+ Build effective relationships with HR Business Partners, Compensation Business partners, line management and employees
+ Routinely provide insights into the competition for talent
+ Attend job fairs and/or open houses
+ Manage special projects as assigned
+ Serve as a trusted partner to senior managers to define and build a comprehensive talent sourcing strategy including assistance in identifying positions for high potential internal talent
+ Serve as recruitment liaison between line of business and recruitment agency for niche or other hard to fill senior positions
+ Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
+ Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
+ Complete other related duties as assigned.
**Education and Experience Required:**
Bachelor’s Degree and five years’ recruitment experience
Ability to manage multiple projects and engagements simultaneously
Demonstrated recruitment success in acquiring niche talent
Strong sales ability, persuasion and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Strong decision-making ability
Demonstrated ability in sourcing, cold calling, name generation and networking
Proactive approach and proven ability to remain diligent on searches
Proven experience with identifying passive job seekers
Superior consultative skills and ability to influence decisions
Sound experience showing fast response time, consistency and success
**Education and Experience Preferred:**
Experience working for Human Resources within a corporate environment
Demonstrated success working in a high-end contingent or retained search agency
Demonstrated experience and the ability apply proven and unconventional sourcing and recruiting techniques
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $71,985.72 - $119,976.20 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
