Senior Tax Accountant, Federal Tax

Reporting to the Manager, Federal Tax, the Senior Tax Accountant, Federal Tax will support the team in all aspects of the Company’s U.S. federal income tax matters, including but not limited to preparing the U.S. federal tax provision in accordance with ASC 740, U.S. corporate income and partnership tax returns and discrete projects as needed. Primary Job Responsibilities

Prepare U.S. federal corporate income and partnership tax returns and supporting documentation and workpapers. Prepare the annual income tax provision for inclusion in our global consolidated results. Support the monthly close process, including preparing or reviewing account reconciliations. Execute internal controls over Corporate Tax processes consistently, without exception, in accordance with SOX. Assist with R&D tax study preparation, including working cross-functionally with engineering and other departments. Maintain the Company’s fixed asset tax depreciation schedules in Fixed Assets CS system. Prepare responses to correspondence and notices from various taxing authorities. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax developments and communicate the effects of these developments to tax management and the team. Research tax technical issues as needed and document the Company’s conclusions. Seek out formal and informal training opportunities to improve your skills and tax knowledge. Assist with special projects such as audit support, streamlining tax compliance processes, and other ad-hoc projects as needed. Maintain a “continuous process of improvement” mindset, always looking for ways to improve workpapers, increase automation, and reduce risk. Engage and align with internal and external business partners and advisors. Collaborate well within the tax team and across the entire ZoomInfo organization. Support the Corporate Tax Department by working together cross-functionally to accomplish the team’s goals.

 Qualifications

2-5 years of tax experience in industry or public accounting; background in income tax compliance or tax accounting preferred. Undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field required; MST and/or active CPA license preferred. Excellent attention to detail, analytical and critical thinking skills. Evidence of time management, organizational, and prioritization skills required. Cheerful attitude that contributes to a positive work environment for all team members. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with ONESOURCE Income Tax or similar tax software preferred but not required. A willingness to learn new software and pursue ways to continuously improve and simplify processes. Familiarity with SAP or another ERP system a plus.

 

Preference towards candidates interested in working in a hybrid environment at any one of our six U.S. offices, but candidates with a proven ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment will be considered. At a minimum, all tax team members are required to travel to the Vancouver, WA office for a week at a time on a quarterly basis regardless of primary work location, or more often as needs of the business dictate.

Below is the US base salary for this position. Additional compensation such as Bonus, Commission, Equity and other benefits may also apply.$92,000—$126,500 USD
