Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.Conduct tax research and stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide strategic advice and identify potential tax savings.Collaborate with clients to gather relevant financial information, address tax issues, and provide guidance on tax implications.Assist in tax planning and consulting, including projections, estimates, and year-end planning.Prepare and review tax provision calculations and tax-related journal entries.Mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support in their professional development.Ensure compliance with relevant IRS, state, and local tax regulations and maintain thorough documentation of tax positions.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.3-8 years of tax experience in public accounting, with expertise in tax compliance, planning, and consulting.Proficiency with tax software and accounting tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex tax information clearly.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client engagements.
