What you will do: Beacon is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with multi-state preparation experience, preferably with the Big 4. In this role, you are responsible for preparing and filing complex income and indirect tax returns. You will also analyze tax implications to the Company, compile supporting information and research to respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies, as well as ASC 740 compliance. Duties and responsibilities Prepare Company tax documents, including quarterly payments, extensions, and tax returns. Preparation of monthly and quarterly tax accounting calculations in accordance with ASC 740. Provide support to operations regarding proper sales and use tax requirements and statutes. Assist tax manager and coordinate sales/use tax audits and personal property tax audits. Work with external partners that assist in tax support of compliance processes. Prepare gross receipts and other miscellaneous state report filings. Provide analysis of specific tax impacts of certain company transactions, drive tax planning initiatives and special projects, and provide client service by responding to questions from the divisions and monitoring tax law changes. Assist in other special projects as needed. What you will bring: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline CPA, MT or MBT certifications preferred 3-5 years of tax experience in public accounting and/or in a corporate tax department with increasing responsibility with indirect tax Knowledge of ASC 740 tax position Experience with sales, use and property tax Multi-location experience Strong work ethic and ability to problem solve independently Strong business acumen and analytical mindset with the ability to implement and facilitate change Demonstrated organizational skills, process orientation, and ability to multi-task. Strong ability to work in changing environment, see through complexity Ability to be effective in a highly matrixed environment, to effectively communicate with and influence all levels of the organization Demonstrated successful experience in working in a demanding, high performance work environment and team-oriented culture Must be able to think and act strategically, but also be willing to “roll up sleeves” for the function Proficient skill with Computer Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) Professional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
