Job Description

 

IFF, a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, is seeking an Senior State Tax Analyst to join our team in Wilmington, DE.  This role will report directly to the Senior Manager of State and Local Tax Compliance and be responsible for the assistance in all State Tax Compliance.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Gather and reconcile appropriate data for state income tax filings, including apportionment, fixed asset depreciation, and all state modifications. Support the Senior Manager of State Tax Compliance in preparation of tax return workpapers. Request and process all state tax payments, including extensions, estimates, and return payments. Work with outside consultants to make sure that all compliance is filed timely and accurately. Clearance of all corporate income and franchise tax notices, audits, and any other issues as they arise. Serve as tax department contact for Wilmington, DE location in relation to administrative tasks including mail receiving and handling. Maintain calendar and site map with contacts, assessments, due dates, and payments. Receive and record all state income tax refunds, including follow up with jurisdictions and internal Accounting Department as needed. Job Requirements

 

Bachelor’s Degree; CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation. 2-4 Years in Big 4 or Multinational Corporation tax department. Can work independently in fast paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to communicate tax issues to non-tax teams within company. Ability to use best judgement and leverage prior experience involving various compliance calculations. Collaboration with a significant amount of internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc. Proficiency in SAP. Strong organizational, time management, verbal and communication skills.
