We are seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our New York City office. The individual will work closely with partners, managers and clients with tax compliance and planning.
Essential Duties
Prepare tax returns ranging from individuals, partnerships and some related entity returns for high-net-worth families. Review tax returns and projects of Tax Associates while gaining increasing responsibility with the review process. Responsible for more complex tax return preparation. Assist in staff development and training. Research and consult on various tax engagements. Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities. Interact with managers, partners, and clients.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university required. MST a plus. CPA license or EA designation a plus. 3+ years of progressive tax compliance experience in public accounting required. Private Client Services group experience a plus. Proficient in preparing individual, partnership and entity returns required. Knowledge of Federal, State and Local tax laws. Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with computer software packages and platforms including Microsoft Office Suite, ProSystems and CCH. Ability to work additional hours to meet client deliverables.The compensation for this position ranges from $75,000 - $95,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills, and certifications.
