What the day will look like As the Senior Technical Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring business and customer outcomes are achieved. You will be responsible for overseeing and driving the technical aspects of products, projects and initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions, while providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a strong communicator and possesses a deep understanding of technologies and best practices. The Technical Analyst’s prime responsibilities are to: + Participate in projects as a SME for allocated platforms across the APAC region. + Liaise with business stakeholders, developers, vendors and other technical teams to gather, analyse, and document end-user requirements. + Involvement in developing functional specifications that design and document the desired outcome of system modifications. + Analysis on business initiatives and whether the requirements fit core platforms. Including collaborating closely with regional architects and vendors when applicable. + Keep Business owners, Technology, Product Managers and key stakeholders aware of potential areas for product enhancement. + Responsible for continuous development and self-improvement around application knowledge and business processes. + Participate as a member of a distributed team across Asia Pacific. + Build and review testing documentation, especially test scripts following the standard methodology for testing processes within the company. + Perform specialized and general testing as needed, collaborating with external collaborators when applicable. + Identify and document platform defects in JIRA. + Participate in the deployment when new products are enhanced or added. Provide trainings when necessary. + Perform application support role for allocated systems to help ensure allocated systems meet agreed Service Level Agreements + Help consolidate and reduce technical debt Governance & Delivery + Align with the APAC and Global PMO processes and security standards as directed. + Work with Global Security Services on any penetration testing. Knowledge + Experience of working in the Insurance Industry (desirable). + Experience of working on risk and risk related problems with different client segments (desirable). + Experience in Solutioning. Skills + Excellent abstract problem solving and vision. + Shows proficiency in time management (ability to prioritize numerous tasks). + Strong systems analysis, application support and business analysis skills + Excellent in understanding the need for a good user experience and business needs. + Strong Excel skills + Innovative thinking. + Good communication both written and oral English across multiple constituencies. + Demonstrate empathy in action. + Outstanding collaborator. + Able to work autonomously. Experience + Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology. + 10+ years demonstrated IT experience. + Evidence of being a successful influencer across different teams and cultures.
