Job Description

Our Client is seeking a Senior Technical Compliance Manager with a strong background in environmental science and engineering. This role involves senior technical review of engineering projects and eventual management of engineering staff. You will be responsible for scoping projects, writing proposals, preparing budgets, and presenting technical papers. Additionally, you will interpret and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, design and optimize remediation strategies, and lead teams in implementing pollution control systems.

ResponsibilitiesCreate innovative environmental engineering solutions to complex issues.Oversee work performed by the Engineering Group, including assigning tasks, reviewing work product, and assisting in staff development.Collaborate with other groups and departments to accomplish tasks.Lead design teams on engineering project needs, effectively delegating various tasks and responsibilities, and supervise performance.Identify, coach, and mentor Engineering staff to successfully complete projects.Responsible for final review (QA/QC) of Engineering Group work product.Interpret existing regulations and guidance and coordinate with consultants in developing strategies to ensure compliance related to engineered systems.Design and develop in situ remediation strategies tailored to specific site conditions and contaminant types.Review remedial system data to evaluate efficiency and optimize performance.Prepare and submit permit applications to regulatory agencies, including compiling necessary documentation, data, and reports.Prepare proposals for August Mack service areas and external clients.Serve as the direct supervisor of assigned personnel.Essential SkillsB.S. in environmental science or related field6 – 8+ years of experience in environmental consultingExperience with Tier II and Form R reportsTechnical experience in air permitting, compliance, spill prevention control, storm water plans, PPC, wastewater discharge permits, and hazardous waste managementAdditional Skills & QualificationsStrong personnel management skillsAbility to train and develop staff engineersExperience in preparing technical papers and presenting themProficiency in designing and optimizing remediation strategiesWork Environment

The role involves spending 75% or more of the time in an office (controlled environment) and up to 25% in field/site visit travel (environmental job hazards). The position offers 1-2 weeks PTO, an employee discount program, 401k, and medical/dental/vision insurance.
