Senior Technical Product Manager – Aerospace Carbon Solutions
**Job Description Summary** Aerospace Carbon Solutions (ACS) is a GE Aerospace business enabling the decarbonization of the aviation industry. ACS gives airlines a comprehensive analytics toolkit to support decision making around carbon regulations and voluntary emissions targets, and how to manage the strategic trade-offs around cost and revenue. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Technical Product Manager to create and execute the vision for our customer-facing software suite. As Senior Technical Product Manager, you will shape the vision for our customer-facing software suite. You will be providing insights and tools to leading airlines to achieve decarbonization targets at the lowest cost. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of expertise in software development, data science, aviation, and decarbonization. As a business and technical leader, you will guide internal and external stakeholders towards a common vision by implementing the latest software development methodologies across our organization, bringing to life digital solutions that align with the unique requirements of ACS and our airline clients. **Job Description** **Roles and Responsibilities** + **Vision and Strategy Development** : Create and execute the vision and strategic roadmap for the customer-facing software suite, ensuring alignment with ACS's goals of decarbonization and cost efficiency for airlines. + **Technical Leadership** : Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, including software developers, data scientists, and engineers, to develop innovative digital solutions. + **Software Development Methodologies** : Implement and oversee the latest software development methodologies, ensuring best practices are followed to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software products. + **Data Analytics and Insights** : Leverage data science and analytics to provide actionable insights to airlines, helping them make informed decisions about carbon regulations, emissions targets, and strategic trade-offs. + **Stakeholder Collaboration** : Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including airline clients, to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure the software solutions meet their needs and expectations. + **Quality Assurance and Testing** : Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive testing plans to ensure the software suite meets high standards of quality, performance, and reliability. + **Technical Problem Solving** : Identify, analyze, and resolve technical challenges and roadblocks that may arise during the product development lifecycle, ensuring timely and effective solutions. + **Innovation and Continuous Improvement** : Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development, aviation, and decarbonization, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement. + **Technical Documentation** : Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including product specifications, user guides, and API documentation, to support development, deployment, and user adoption. **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data analytics, mathematics, statistics or computer science + 10 years of work experience with product management of complex, enterprise software **Desired Characteristics:** + Master’s degree in engineering, data analytics, mathematics, statistics or computer science + Robust understanding of Agile, Lean and structured problem-solving techniques + Ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders in engineering and sales + Ability to interpret complex data to inform decision-making + Prior experience in aviation or aerospace and/or decarbonization + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner and motivate team members around a common product vision **Additional Information** GE Aerospace offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
