Senior Technical Product Manager (multiple positions)

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

Manage requirements gathering and functional requirements documentation, run user acceptance testing in Insurance and Finance. Serve as Functional domain expert in Insurance and Finance functions. Collaborate with developers, business functions teams, stakeholder management and experience in working in project. Manage a strategic business priority that requires working across multiple functions and senior management, demonstrated strategic and analytical skills; able to assess processes and outcomes by establishing solid metrics of performance. Serve as an expert across product management functions and skilled in technical domains related to the portfolio. Engage customers at technical levels to present approach and feature overview, collect requirements, refine strategy, and formulate roadmap. Provide business support and operations 1for key applications and reporting systems. Work with the business users to develop requirements to meet their process needs. Responsible for IT testing and facilitating UAT with users. Lead process reengineering within support function and leverage best practices. Able to effectively work with remotely located (outsourced) teams. Responsible for systems implementation and project leadership leveraging reinsurance operations knowledge as well as IT best practices. Responsible to manage and support financial and Insurance applications. Able to convert business requirements to implementable solutions, drawing wireframes, design data model structures, define application navigation, collaborate with applications development team.  Participate in all aspect of agile application development process, scrums, sprint meetings, develop user stories and implement with development team. Able to plan UAT, create test cases, coordinate with development team, unit test applications, Participate and run UAT meetings, document in Rally (Agile PMO tool), plan production deployment and review and signoff.  Work closely with Project development teams for supporting achievement of key milestones, deliverables and tracking to ensure success of the overall project delivery. Communicate effectively with System Development/Technology teams and internal business teams to establish appropriate solutions to meet business requirements.

Qualifications / Requirements:

The position also requires: 5 years of experience in information technology; 2 years experience in the following tools and technologies: relational database systems, SQL, end-user reporting systems, Service Now; 2 years experience in managing and supporting financial applications, general ledger systems, subledger systems and financial reporting and processes; 2 years project management experience in web applications development, requirements gathering, documenting and analysis, GUI design, solution design, database design, application architecture, UAT, deployment, production go-live support and post go-live support, software development life cycle, and agile methodologies; 3 years experience in build and release management, workflow orchestration tools, working on Oracle. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report/appear into/at Employers Reassurance Corporation in Overland Park, KS.
