Senior Technical Program Manager – Network Infrastructure Engineering

GEICO’s Infrastructure Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior TPM who are passionate in driving business critical strategic programs across several workstreams and stakeholders. This is a newly created organization with a deep focus to enable optimal cloud capacity for all application teams to run enterprise-wide products. Description: 

GEICO is seeking a Senior TPM with a blend of technical and program management experience to help drive our insurance business transformation as we move from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence as its mission. In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and management of technology programs and projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions and guide technology decisions that align with business objectives. Our team thrives and succeeds in delivering high-quality technology products and services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly.

The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge & experience in backbone and edge networking. The ideal candidate will be extremely comfortable working with ambiguity and autonomy and will have a passion for solving some of the most challenging networking problems in the industry.

Responsibilities: 

As a Senior TPM, you will: 

Collaborate with Networking Engineering and cross-functional teams to define program requirements, set priorities, and establish scope, including defining the roadmap and long-term strategy.

Manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly.

Communicate to stakeholders effectively and proactively.

Partner with cross-functional teams to drive technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases.

Define and track key metrics and quality and performance indicators, driving cross-functional execution of program deliverables.

Proactively identify and analyze complex, long-term, critical infrastructure problems with engineering leaders and stakeholders.

Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams. 

Qualifications: 

5+ years of experience managing technical network engineering programs or products at scale, from inception to implementation.

5+ years of network infrastructure engineering or network infrastructure technical product / program management experience.

Experience gathering user needs, requirements, and defining large scale program scope accordingly.

Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams & global regions, demonstrating critical thinking and thought leadership.

Experience working with technical leadership to develop systems, solutions, and products.

Adept in project management methodologies, tools (ADO), and best practices.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering or equivalent education or work experience.


 

Annual Salary

$130,000.00 - $260,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
