We are seeking an entrepreneurial and passionate Senior Technical Program Manager of Mobile and Conversational AI Technology to take our customer experience to the next level.

The Technical Program Manager role will collaborate with other product and technology teams, as well as lead a cross-functional program team to ensure Schwab Mobile app and the conversational AI platform is meeting our clients’ expectations. An ideal candidate will enjoy being part of an impactive and growing technology team, working in a fast-paced environment, be process and data oriented, have strong communication skills, and have extensive experience with secure, client-facing online technologies with a preference for experience in Mobile and Conversational AI domains and cloud technologies (Google cloud is preferred).

The role will lead the strategic planning of the technology roadmap, enabling effective execution. Strategic planning will include creating the roadmap, from long term planning (more than a year) to quarterly and project level execution and managing schedule progress from large phases through to detailed tasks, including understanding and managing dependencies within and across groups. This will require working directly with Engineering Senior leadership, Dev Managers, Product managers and other TPM’s to ensure timely delivery and tactical execution against the OKR’s partners.

What you’ll do:

Serve as the primary point of contact for Senior Leadership in your areas of responsibility, owning proactive communications and consistent progress updatesPartnering and direct facilitation with teams at all levels; from in the weeds with developers on projects to summations and process strategy at the executive levelContinually evaluate technology effectiveness/data interoperability of complex systems, influence vendor roadmap and direction of productsAssist in presenting proposed future state and strategy/roadmaps to business/ IT leadersLead multiple highly complex projects of diverse scope where analysis requires an understanding of current business and technology trendsCoordinate and optimize the efforts of cross-functional teams, including across conflicting streams, identifying risks and proactively mitigating themProviding problem-solving leadership with an expert ability to navigate dynamic and conflicting opinions and deliver within budget and per scheduleCollaborate with other technical teams and Mobile Architects/Technical leads to build the technical roadmap, initiatives and epics and refine them into stories with acceptance criteriaManage budget and vendor relationships including work orders, vendor evaluation and delivery progress by vendorsWhat you have

Required Qualifications:

6+ years of technical program management experience with 3+ years as a Senior TPM and/or TPM lead3+ years of experience in Mobile application development projects2+ years in Cloud migration and AI project experienceSoftware delivery experience as an engineer, and preferably as an engineering managerStrong understanding of Agile/Scrum and building 2-3 year roadmaps and quarterly PI planningMust be self-starter, extremely detailed and analytical, and have a curious mind that enjoys digging into how things work and continuously strives to enhance the product, workflow and processAbility to understand the why and how for technical items and refine epics into detailed storiesKeen eye for recognizing consistent and efficient experiences and processes and promoting a continuous improvement cultureExperience in building partnerships, mobilizing and motivating teams, influencing others at all levels of an organization, and driving change to effectively deliver on projects in a cross-functional environmentExcellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verballyBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
