You Are:

UST is looking for a seasoned Senior Technical Project Manager to lead our Operations Team, adopt agile methodologies for managing DevOps operational enablers, and ensure all facets of Application Maintenance are addressed. This pivotal role involves the managing the Scrum board, ensuring incident and change management tickets are addressed in a time-bound manner while implementing advanced practices, and providing guidance through coaching, leadership, and mentorship.

 

The opportunity:

·       Lead the Operations Team for managing intricate DevOps operational tasks, upgrades, incident management and change management.

·       Drive the implementation of advanced practices for agile development and DevOps operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and continuous enhancement.

·       Mentor, coach, and guide team members on intricate agile principles, the Scrum framework, and DevOps practices.

·       Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to synchronize priorities, untangle dependencies, and ensure seamless delivery.

·       Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, impediments, and bottlenecks to bolster team productivity and delivery.

·       Cultivate a culture of collaboration, transparency, and perpetual learning within the Operations Team.

·       Forge effective communication channels with stakeholders, offering deep insights into team progress, challenges, and milestones.

·       Employ advanced monitoring techniques to refine team performance continually, leveraging metrics and feedback to drive success.

·       Collaborate closely with the team to create comprehensive operational documentation, including knowledge base articles, deployment artifacts, upgrade chronologies, and change documentation.

·       Leverage infrastructure and technology background to break down enabler features into technical stories and guide the team as needed to break silos and foster collaboration across technical domains.

·       Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery in the Application Maintenance and Operations area to ensure continued environment stability and performance.

·       DevOps Leadership: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of DevOps practices, including automation of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and continuous monitoring. Profound understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and toolchains.

·       Deployment Management: Coordinate and manage deployment processes, ensuring seamless integration of new releases and updates across environments.

·       CI/CD Pipeline Management: Develop, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.

·       ITIL Practices: Apply ITIL best practices to manage the IT service lifecycle, including incident management, change management, and service improvement. Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.

 

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

 

What you need:

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

·       5+ years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on DevOps and CI/CD pipeline management.

·       Proven experience managing deployment processes and leading DevOps practices in a complex environment

·       Strong understanding of ITIL framework and practices.

·       Certifications:

o   ITIL Certification (mandatory)

o   PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master certification (preferred).

 

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Remote

Compensation Range:   $80,000-$120,000

 

 

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
