Senior Technical Writer

Job Description

The Senior Technical Writer role is responsible for documenting end-user and technical product information to guide users in the configuration and use of new product solutions. The ideal candidate has demonstrably strong writing and video development skills and can effectively interact with software developers, product managers, project leads and end users to craft content. This role also reviews user-generated content from product community forums and effectively incorporates this content within the larger body of documentation. Deliverables include configuration and integration guides, technical release notes, product documentation, demonstration videos, demonstration videos, API guides, product Q&A, forum content, and the like.

This role will conduct interviews with developers, product management, and other technical staff to gather data for documentation/videos/forum responses. Attends scrums, researches, and uses software to translate technical information into both developer and user-facing documentation. This role also interacts heavily with end users to ensure the information generated is applicable to their different usage requirements.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience documenting technical information in a software company environment.Bachelor’s degree in the relevant technical or writing fieldExperience working as an integral part of an Agile development team to research, plan, and produce content for a range of audiences and products, with a focus on enterprise software developmentExcellent written, visual and verbal communication skills in English, with a keen eye for detailProven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience documenting digital marketing products is highly desired.A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a technical writer in the digital marketing industry a plus
