Senior Technical Writer

As an extension of our next-generation EAM platform, Nuvolo also provides facilities and integrated workspace management (IWMS) capability across a broad range of industry sectors. Our platforms deliver improved operational efficiency, higher service levels, better safety and lower costs. We are now looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join our Technical Documentation Team. Responsibilities: + Write end-user, technical product documentation, and context-sensitive help for Nuvolo’s products. + Update/Review release notes to adhere to the in-house style guide. + Gather information from various resources, including SME interviews, to create comprehensive documentation. + Perform peer and editorial-level reviews of content to provide feedback to team members. + Build and publish projects for product releases. + Troubleshoot content for errors that may prevent publishing. + Assist in leading and mentoring the team on best and leading-edge practices to produce world-class enablement materials for our employees, clients, and partners. + Provide input into the team’s ability to provide cutting-edge enablement solutions by staying current with professional and technology trends. Qualifications: + 5-10 years of consistently high performance in a technical writer role preferably within a SaaS, or cloud-based product company. (references will be expected) + 5-10 years as a Technical Writer, preferably within an Agile SCRUM or SAFE methodology development teams. (references will be expected) + Competency in the following key skills: (writing samples required) + Writing clear and concise documentation (online help, user guides, and release notes) + Adhering to an in-house style guide, Microsoft Style Guide, or Chicago Manual of Style + HTML and preferably XML + Atlassian products, specifically Confluence and Jira + Graphical editors, such as SnagIt, Vision, and Inkscape + Styles and/or CSS + Information types and single-sourcing principles + Excellent personal organization and work discipline with mature GTD/Zero Inbox habits. + Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills with demonstrable expertise at articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences in a value-centric perspective. + Knowledge of the ServiceNow platform is a plus. + Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
