NI Hungary is seeking talented writers for staff and senior level technical writer positions in its R&D organization.
Technical writers at NI partner with an engineering team to develop and improve product documentation. As an NI technical writer, you write technical documentation, collaborate with content experts to develop/enhance documentation content, and work with product managers and engineers to improve the usability of documentation and products.
The ideal candidate will have proven success in a highly technical field, such as software development, computer science, or engineering. Also important in this role are an ability to evaluate and analyze complex information and a natural desire to help people understand it.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Create and edit product documentation according to company guidelines, including printed materials, electronic help, and other forms of documentation Send documentation through review and implement feedback Collaborate with content experts to learn about products Prepare information for publishing Work with project managers and engineers to improve the usability of documentation Troubleshoot help systems as they are integrated into productsWho You Are:
You establish and maintain effective customer relationships. You readily learn and adopt new technologies. You effectively communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels.
For This Role, You Will Need: Excellent command of English, both written and spoken Multiple years of professional technical writing experience Bachelors degree or higher in English, Technical Communication, or other major with writing-intensive component and/or science/technology emphasis Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects and priorities Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Firm understanding of XML, DITA, and HTML Experience in using writing and terminology assistance tools like Congree and TermWeb
