What You Will Be Doing

ChargePoint is seeking a Senior Test Technician to join our Hardware Engineering team. The Sr Test Technician will be working alongside our System Engineering and Test Engineering teams developing, prototyping, and performing test & validation of our state-of-the-art products.

The candidate will assemble, debug, rework, and test prototype PCBA’s, wiring harnesses, sub-Assemblies, and systems. In addition, the candidate will learn to create documentation and support the engineers with basic troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and provide corrective actions where applicable.

 

Responsibilities

Follow instructions to perform PCBA, subsystem, system test Electromechanical assembly and dis-assembly of subsystem and system assembly and disassembly Debug and rework of Electromechanical subassemblies PCBA bring-up using multimeters, signal analyzers, oscilloscopes, voltage/current sources PCBA debug, troubleshooting, rework and touch-up Design, assemble, and validate cable harnesses Create and update documentation (such as assembly drawings, SOPs, test procedures, wiring diagrams) Selecting off the shelf components based on system requirements

 

Qualifications & Requirements

5+ years’ experience in Hardware assembly, troubleshooting, test & validation Experience and knowledge in working with high voltage/current Experience in both Hardware and Software troubleshooting Experience in PCBA bring-up, debug, troubleshooting, and rework Experience with shop/hand tools and low and high voltage harness development Familiarity with Linux and other command-line environments Passionate about getting things done while abiding by safety rules and practices Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task

 

Location

Campbell, CA

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $70,000 to $155,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
