Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the full-time position of Senior Technician (Microbiology & Biotechnology) in the School of Molecular and Cell Biology.Brief DescriptionDuties amongst others include: To prepare and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate practical laboratory sessions including student assistance. Maintenance of culture collections (e.g. bacterial, viral, mycological); growth rooms; assistance in general equipment and facilities operations; and safety procedures. Perform any other tasks or activities which fall within the general functioning of the School of Molecular & Cell Biology as determined by the Head of School.
Qualifications and experience: BSc Honours or MTech; Experience in Microbiology and Molecular & Cell Biology Laboratories, prior experience in preparation of microbiology-based laboratory practicals for large undergraduate classes would be advantageous.
