As a Senior Technology Architect, you will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; provide technology consultation; assist in defining scope and sizing of work; anchor Proof of Concept developments and support opportunity identification and pursuit processes and evangelize Client brand. Location for this position is Hartford, CT. This positions requires relocation.
Qualifications
Basic
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
implementations
• At least 11 years of experience in Software development life cycle with primary experience in DW/BI and related tools, understanding of HADOOP Framework, Hive , Pig and NoSQL
• At least 8 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on DW/BI development and maintenance projects
• At least 6 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks
• At least 6 years of experience in Design and Architecture review.
Preferred
• Knowledge of HADOOP Framework and programming in Hive and Pig tools, Design, Best Practices and troubleshooting
• Understanding of Unix/Linux system, file systems, shell scripting
• Strong knowledge of estimation.
• Strong knowledge of Dimension Modeling
• Extensive experience in architecting ETL / OLAP solutions
• Strong knowledge of Performance tuning on any RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 etc.)
• Good awareness of Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW), Analytics, Enterprise Dashboard, Key performance Indicators (KPIs), Data Quality, Master Data Management, Data governance and DB appliances is desired
• Willingness to work with multiple project teams in tandem in a technical consultation role.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Should have excellent communication and customer presentation skills.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment, engaging with teams in an onsite/offshore model.
The job entails an extensive amount of travel. The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
