Summary

This is a leadership position for our current HGA Building Technologies team within the Minneapolis office. This position will work directly with the HGA Building Technologies department leadership to manage, evolve, and grow the department.

 

We recognize that there is a wide range of low voltage building systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in general building technologies with the ability to apply multiple technologies strategically to improve our client’s businesses in these market sectors: public, corporate, higher education, arts and culture, science and technology, and healthcare. Typical experience might cover systems such as:

Wired and Wireless Voice and Data NetworksAudiovisual systems including presentation, digital signage, etc.Security systems including access control, video surveillance, duress, etcReal Time Locating SystemsBuilding Management/Automation Systems In this role you will: Work closely with HGA Principals in prepositioning for potential projects, creating proposals, and participating in project interviewsLead meetings with client leadership and stakeholders to discuss project and technology related goals, concepts, budgets and design details Strategize with internal and external teams to develop current and future technology solutions for application to our client’s organizations Work with internal and external teams to develop and implement decision making processes and build consensus around project related decisionsWork with client teams to understand current technologies and develop strategies and processes to evaluate and implement new technologiesClearly and concisely communicate technology concepts to technical and non-technical clienteleWork to understand our client’s business with the ability to strategically introduce technology to improve business outcomesAct as the client-facing Building Technologies lead, guiding and educating client leadership and stakeholdersPlan and guide site survey activities to document existing building technology systemsLead internal and external teams in technology visioning sessions to introduce new technologies into client organizations and create technology focused roadmaps for long term implementationProvide an example for the team to emulate in terms of professionalism and design excellenceWork with internal team directing designers in design concepts and requirements to complete and deliver documentsDirect implementation of standard procedures for project deliverable production, review, and issuance. Perform quality control for deliverables including presentation, packaging, adherence to standards, completeness, and timeliness You will need to have: A B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other applicable design and engineering fieldsA minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of Low Voltage Systems including Telecommunications Infrastructure. Knowledge and experience in adjacent building technology systems such as Security Systems – Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intrusion/Duress, Audio/Video Systems, Digital Signage and Paging/Sound Masking Systems is a plusBICSI RCDD CertificationDetail-oriented work ethicProfessional Engineering license (PE) is preferredWillingness to seek and obtain new certifications as needed to perform the role Manufacturer certifications in relevant design capabilities and systems/product understanding are a plusProficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and other applicable BIM related tools and software is a plus Salary Information:

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $75,600 - $109,900.
