**Description** The monitor tech II (MT) is responsible for continuously monitoring patients via telemetry of oxygen saturation (Sp02) levels and/or electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythm on patients from a remote workstation located in the TeleICU Clinical Operations Room (COR) or other nursing units. The Monitor Tech communicates all concerns to staff registered nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse. Utilizes TeleICU RN (tRN) as a resource. If the MT is unable to reach the bedside RN in a timely manner, the MT may escalate the concern by calling the charge nurse, Rapid Response Team or Code Blue per unit procedure. Additionally, the MT provides clerical support to the workflows of the TeleICU clinical staff (tMD and tRN), assists and participates with the orientation of new MT and nursing staff, and other duties as assigned.
