Job Title: Senior Test Engineer
Salary: £52,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
Full Time: 37.50
The Opportunity
Looking to join a global team across three continents? As a Senior Test Engineer, you'll shape new product designs, improve existing ones, and provide quality data on schedule. You'll support and lead improvement projects, with a mix of office, workshop, and test-yard work. This hands-on role involves off-road machinery, with most tests on-site and some off-site, both domestically and internationally.
What You Will Do:
As Senior Test Engineer, your accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:
Governing the test process from set up to studying data and generating relevant reports, to resolve issues regarding the design or manufacturing, ensuring design acceptance and manufacturing readiness.
Collaborate with the customer to define the scope of the on-machine test and create a project charter.
Monitoring results for machine and process capabilities and performance reliability.
Planning, improving and supporting testing procedures, to proactively address issues and operations to make the test more reliable, efficient and cost-effective.
Support other Test Engineers to carry out on-machine tests
Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.

What You Can Demonstrate:
Product Testing: Knowledge of product testing approaches, techniques and tools; ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality at all stages of manufacturing.
Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical issues.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective evaluation; ability to conclude the root cause of problems, evaluate and create and recommend alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
What You May Have:
Degree in an accredited Engineering or Science curriculum desired, or equivalent experience.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyse situations and reach productive verdict based on informed judgment.
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
