Senior to Principal Engineer (Risk Assessment)

You will be at the forefront of risk assessment innovation, applying emerging safety engineering principles to the marine and offshore sectors. You will lead advanced hazard identification workshops, quantitative risk analyses, and software development. By collaborating with both internal and external partners, you will help improve risk related practices, guide the use of novel technologies and fuels, and drive safer, more sustainable operations across the global maritime landscape.

What You Will Do:

Plan, conduct, and manage advanced risk assessments (e.g., HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA/FMECA, PHA, LOPA) for marine and offshore clients, including hazard identification and scribing activities. Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to refine risk assessment methodologies, contribute to the development of classification rules, and innovate software tools to address evolving industry challenges. Perform advanced quantitative analyses to model failure probabilities, analyze potential failure scenarios (including human error and system malfunctions), and recommend mitigation strategies. Develop innovative tools & procedures that support cutting-edge risk evaluation and hazard analysis, ensuring compatibility with industry’s best practices and evolving regulatory frameworks. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, safety, and operations, to ensure alignment on risk management practices. Stay abreast of the latest research developments, regulatory guidelines, and emerging industry trends in risk management and safety engineering. Leverage these insights to continuously enhance assessment methodologies, improve hazard identification techniques, and maintain thought leadership in the evolving field of risk engineering.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience
