Role description: Senior Track Engineer working in the NSW Track & Civil Team, you will work closely with our Associate Technical Director – Track in project delivery for Track Engineering designs as well as for tender support. Role accountabilities: Delivery of design documentation, technical reports and specifications for clients. Being the trusted track lead on multi-disciplinary projects. Managing parts of projects meeting budgetary, quality and timeframe targets and taking responsibility for resource allocation. Liaising closely with our global design office counterparts Ensuring the integrity of overall design including planning, quality assurance, design review & delivery. Liaising with Project Managers, subcontractors and the client, ensuring effective communication of any changes/modifications; and Assist in business development, proposals and tendering for track and civil components of projects. Create and maintain design quality control documentation and design supporting tools Provide mentoring & support to junior staff members of the team. Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in civil or rail Engineering is required with a minimum of 5 years’ local experience in the Australian rail market. Following aspects would also be needed:
Extensive rail systems technical experience delivering project outcomes within senior roles in major rail infrastructure projects including demonstrated experience in addressing technical integration, compatibility and safety risk issues. Relevant experience in track engineering design or design review. Highly developed written communication and industry recognised computer literacy skills to compile and develop technical and quality documentation of a complex nature. Demonstrated skills to articulate and present complex technical schemes/options/proposals succinctly for project stakeholders. Credibility and confidence in building and establishing working relationships with key stakeholders. Design skills in Bentley OpenRail or equivalent Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with either Metro, Heavy Rail or Light Rail projects. A collaborative approach and proven success working within multi-disciplinary teams. Level of TAO/MTM/ARTC competencies will be considered.Key Selection Criteria (desired):
