Your Role

As an Expert in Trade Compliance within our Surface Solutions business unit, you will play a vital role in establishing and maintaining trade compliance expertise across the European Union and globally. You will collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure seamless customs clearance processes, engage with customers and authorities, and manage compliance with trade regulations, including HS Code classification, embargoes, and Free Trade Agreements. You will oversee customs reporting obligations, handle sanctioned party lists, and ensure adherence to dual-use regulations and narcotics controls. Additionally, you will conduct training on government laws and regulations, and develop standard operating procedures. You will also monitor regulatory changes, providing guidance to stakeholders and ensuring compliance across the organization.

 

Who You Are

Master's degree in International Trade, Logistics, Natural sciences, or a related field.Extensive experience in trade compliance, particularly within the European Union.Strong knowledge of customs regulations and HS Code classificationProven ability to interact effectively with authorities and external service providers.Experience with SAP GTS and data management systems.Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to convey complex regulations clearly.Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and adapt to changes.
