Senior Traffic Project Manager

In the role of Senior Traffic Project Manager, we'll count on you to:
Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline planning projects or large, routine projectsIndependently coordinate work of engineers and balance planning team throughout entire project's developmentEstablish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetingsParticipate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceConduct work sessions for design development and contract document in conjunction with other staffCoordinate workload throughout entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on scheduleTrack financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completedwithin parameters of agreed-to scheduleWork with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as neededWork as part of a team and independently in evaluating and applying Traffic Engineering principles, standards, and criteriaInteract directly with clients at project meetings and ensure that all client project designs meet engineering standardsInteract directly with other disciplines such as roadway, drainage, structures, geotechnical, water, and environment to coordinate designLead the development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PSE) packages based upon agency standards and specifications for traffic signal and pedestrian crossing control system design, ITS, roadway lighting,Signing and Pavement Marking, and MOT design.Perform traffic operational analysis including traffic projections, analysis, and simulation using Synchro/SimTraffic,TranSync, HCS, and VISSIMAnalyze crash data to identify crash patterns and probable causes, develop collision and condition diagrams. Conduct predictive safety analysis.Perform photometric analysis using AGi32 or Visual lightingParticipate in transportation planning assignments, corridor studies, safety studies, and IAJR reportsPrepare technical memorandums and papers for clients and/or internal distributionConduct field reviews and prepare reportsRepresent HDR at conferences and professional organizationsMentor entry level engineersPerform emerging technology testing, develop design of experiments, data collections, and report preparationPerform other duties as needed for the success of the Desert Southwest traffic business class #LI-JF1Preferred QualificationsA minimum of 10 years related or equivalent experience including traffic project management experiencePE license in Arizona or obtain within 6 months of hireMaster's degree preferredPTOE, PTP, or RSP certifications preferredDemonstrated leadershipskillsExperience in traffic operational analysis including traffic projections, analysis, and simulation using Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, and VISSIMKnowledge of safety analysis using HSMExcellent verbal and written communicationskillsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering10 years related experienceA minimum 5 years project management experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseMS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus)Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
