Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly committed employee for the position of Senior Trainer – Safety FS (Fixed Term Contract) to join the Project Department. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to the Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs that promote a culture of safety excellence and support our organization's safety vision.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following: 

Design, develop, and deliver safety training programs that meet the needs of our employees, contractors, and visitors. Deliver training programs in a classroom, online, or on-the-job setting, using a variety of training methods and techniques. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, including assessing learner knowledge, skills, and attitudes, and identifying areas for improvement. Develop and deliver training programs for trainers and instructors, to ensure that they have the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to deliver safety training programs effectively. Promote a culture of safety excellence within the organization, by encouraging employees, contractors, and visitors to take an active role in safety. Ensure that all safety training programs comply with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of safety training programs.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

Grade 12 Certificate  Minimum Diploma in Health and Safety Minimum 5 years’ experience in Health and Safety training  Accredited TEVETA Trainer & Assessor Good interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, word))  Excellent IT skills and knowledge of relevant software  Ability to work flexibly and make decisions quickly
