The Senior Training Specialist- LAM is responsible for conducting learning asset maintenance and sustainment. Responsibilities Maintain configuration management, archiving, and retirement activities of learning assets. Identify task support documentation such as checklists, workflows, process diagrams, standard operating procedures, and evaluation criteria for improving the state of DAU’s learning asset lifecycle sustainment and maintenance actions and recommend best practices and maintain an inventory of the same. Provide support and expertise toward continual improvement of standards, tools and workflows associated with effectively managing the lifecycle sustainment of learning assets. DAU leverages capabilities in the systems themselves (e.g., CSOD, MS Teams, Composica, Articulate 360, dominKnow) for version control and configuration management when possible and appropriate alongside independent configuration management documents and business processes. Identify and remediate defective learning products in response to Help Desk findings and other DAU sources including change requests (CRs) submitted by DAU faculty who routinely review and assess learning assets to maintain currency and general quality. These remediations include but are not limited to: Correct learning asset content identified by faculty-created CRs Make updates to or replacing graphics and instructional visuals, audio and video file updates Create updated/corrected print files Correct accessibility deficiencies as determined via Section 508 criteria Apply new branding or templates as DAU’s official “look and feel” evolves Replace hyperlinks or other elements that may no longer be current Perform general updates that sustain the established design and utility of the learning asset Update exams and test questions within the CSOD test engine in response to faculty requests. Provide subject matter expertise in support of curriculum development. Supervisory Responsibilities Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in related field. Experience may be used in lieu of education requirement. Must have 4+ years of experience with learning asset maintenance and sustainment. Must have working experience with the following tools: CSOD, MS Teams, Composica, Articulate 360, dominKnow. Background check with favorable NAC Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to meet minimum security clearance requirements. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that include the ability to interact with a wide variety of key stakeholders to ensure timely responses for all communications and deliverables across all projects. Superb planning, coordination, and organizational skills. Results-driven with a positive attitude and a high degree of initiative and responsiveness. Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and attend to details while staying focused on key priorities and management. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Ability to travel up to 10%.
