As part of the Singapore Energy Team, the focus of this role is to lead the delivery of feasibility studies, T&D system design, and owner's engineer assignments for High-Voltage Transmission and Distribution schemes (HVAC and/or HVDC); specifically for electricity network operators, utility scale renewables (e.g. solar, hydro, offshore wind etc) and transmission interconnector developers. The role will be client facing and will include leading, managing and preparing bids, as well as performing business development activities to help shape and expand Arup’s T&D business footprint in Singapore and in SE Asia.
The Opportunity
Lead large-scale T&D projects with multiple teams and stakeholders, developing project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies, managing project risks, and mentoring junior project managers. Meet agreed budgets, quality and deadlines. Lead/Assist the Energy Team Leader in recruitment, appraisals, performance development, morale and motivation of the Energy Team. Foster a positive and inclusive team culture to enhance motivation and engagement. Lead the creation and management of project budgets across multiple projects, meticulously tracking expenses, and implementing advanced cost control measures to optimize financial performance Lead the creation of comprehensive reports, documents, and technical papers, setting the standard for clarity and organization. Lead research efforts, conducting data analysis and exhaustive fact-checking to guarantee reporting accuracy. Collaborate seamlessly with subject matter experts to acquire valuable insights and content. Exemplify excellence in report structure, format, and adherence to style guidelines. Spearhead the review and editing process, ensuring reports are characterized by flawless grammar, clarity, and coherence. Champion report delivery to stakeholders and expertly facilitate follow-up discussions and action plans. Expertly coordinate project activities to align seamlessly with project goals, proactively resolving conflicts and addressing complex challenges stemming from multidisciplinary interactions.At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive.
